Duke in New York Arts and Media Program

This is a fall-semester off-campus study program for juniors and seniors wishing to engage in an intensive study of the arts that includes an internship. The program has four components, each earning one Duke credit: two seminars taught by the faculty director from Duke; an arts internship; and an elective course at New York University. Students get hands-on experience in fields they are studying and in which they may be interested, or are considering, entering after graduation The web site indicates that students have done internships in theater, magazine publishing, literary publishing, music, media, museums and galleries, management/policy, dance, architecture, art and entertainment law, studio art/computer graphics, film and video.
